Tussen 2020 en 2022 is de SATHURN met aandacht voor detail omgebouwd tot een moderne en energiezuinige woning met ± 164 m² woonoppervlak. Het valt op dat er niet is bespaard is op kwaliteit. Het schip beschikt over een energielabel A++ en is gasvrij. De ligplaatsvergunning is voor onbepaalde tijd afgegeven en het jaarlijkse liggeld bedraagt € 3175,50.

De combinatie van volledig thermisch gepurde isolatie, een moderne warmtepomp, 16 zonnepanelen van 400wp, HR++ beglazing, vloerverwarming en vloerkoeling (!) in de zomer, pas drie jaar oud, zorgen voor een comfortabel klimaat in elk seizoen. En dat met praktisch nul op de meter.
Het schip is ook voorbereid op een eventueel te plaatsen warmte-terugwin-installatie.

Het woonschip is nagenoeg volledig afgebouwd, de intimmering is professioneel uitgevoerd, bijna gereed en behoeft met name alleen afwerking. Er is veel bergruimte en de indeling van dit schip biedt volop mogelijkheden voor diverse woonsituaties.

Indeling:
Entree via een boerderijdeur naar de zeer ruime woonkeuken, met een fraai gevormd en diep Iroko aanrechtblad, welke is uitgerust met moderne inbouwapparatuur, inductie kookplaat, design-wasemkap van slechts drie jaar oud. De vele patrijspoorten geven deze ruime een bijzonder scheepse en knusse sfeer. Via de spiltrap bereik je vanuit hier het gezellige stuurhuis met een 360° panorama en geeft toegang tot het zonnige terras op het zuiden met vrij uitzicht over het water. De stuurhut is gemaakt van KOMO gecertificeerd mahoniehout.
Vanuit de keuken kom je via een brede zebrano houten trap in het voormalige ruim met als eerste een separaat toilet, toegang tot een riante berging onder de keukenvloer en de enorme woonkamer.
De grote patrijspoorten en dakramen zorgen voor veel lichtinval en geeft het interieur een fijne sfeer met uitzicht. De strakke wanden en plafonds van plaatmateriaal zijn gereed om naar eigen smaak te worden geschilderd of anderszins te worden afgewerkt. Via een brede gang komen we eerst bij een ruime badkamer voorzien van een ligbad. Alle leidingen voor een nog te plaatsen inloopdouche, extra toilet e.d. zijn aanwezig. Naast de badkamer bevind zich een hele grote slaapkamer. Deze is zo gemaakt dat hij eenvoudig tot twee (kinder) slaapkamers is om te bouwen, die dan beiden over een dakraam en een patrijspoort beschikken. In het voorschip ligt nog een hele grote kamer die nu als muziekkamer wordt gebruikt, maar ook de master-bedroom zou kunnen zijn. Via een deur is de technische ruimte in het voorschip te bereiken die tevens een vluchtweg naar het voordek biedt.

Dit fraaie en degelijke gebouwde schip biedt een kans voor wie op zoek is naar iets bijzonders.

Spacious and modern houseboat located on the Borneokade – Amsterdam Eastern Islands

Located in this exceptionally beautiful south-facing location is the magnificent houseboat SATHURN. This former seagoing coaster, measuring 35.73 x 6.13 meters, was originally built in 1940 for sailing to Heligoland. The first thing you notice is the sheer robustness of this former seagoing vessel; everything is heavily constructed and in extremely good condition. The paintwork is impeccable, and the deck space is exceptional, with very wide gangways and heavy-duty bulwarks.

Between 2020 and 2022, the SATHURN was meticulously converted into a modern and energy-efficient home with approximately 164 m² of living space. It’s striking that no expense was spared on quality. The ship has an A++ energy label and is gas-free. The mooring permit is issued for an indefinite period and the annual mooring fee is € 3,175.50.

Layout:
Entrance through a farmhouse door leads to the very spacious kitchen/diner, featuring a beautifully shaped and deep Iroko countertop. It is equipped with modern built-in appliances, an induction cooktop, and a designer extractor hood that’s only three years old. The numerous portholes give this space a particularly nautical and cozy feel. From here, a spiral staircase leads to the inviting wheelhouse with a 360° panorama and access to the sunny south-facing terrace with unobstructed views of the water. The wheelhouse is crafted from KOMO-certified mahogany.
From the kitchen, a wide zebrawood staircase leads to the former hold, which first houses a separate toilet, access to a spacious storage room under the kitchen floor, and the enormous living room.
